Background

Dutton/Dunwich Minor Ball (DDMB) and the Municipality of Dutton/Dunwich formed a Diamonds Improvement Committee in 2023 to address ongoing infrastructure issues at the baseball diamonds at the Sons of Scotland Park in Dutton. 

The committee outlined the following priorities to be completed prior to the start of the 2024 season:

• Phase 1 - Replace the Backstops & dugouts on Diamond 1 and Diamond 2
  

Funds Raised to Date
A budget of approximately $150, 000 has been allocated to complete both Diamonds 1 & 2. 

By September 2023, funds were secured in thanks to contributions from the community and our partners, and the construction on Diamond #1 was fully complete in May 2024.  


Ongoing Fundraising
The committee is still working tirelessly to secure the remaining funds needed to complete Diamond 2.  We have raised approximately $68, 000, and still need to secure approximately $8,000.   If we cannot raise these funds, Diamond 2 will not be playable for the 2025 season. 

Donor Recognition
Donors will be recognized through our Donor Recognition plan which involves permanent signage to be installed at the Sons of Scotland Park in Dutton.

We are accepting direct financial contributions to Diamond 2.  If you or your organization would like to contribute, you can do so by completing this form online, or by requesting a donation package to take to your organization.
